O.B. - VERY RARE BLACK OMEGA BEAR
O.B. is a very rare black Omega bear - especially in this size just 11 inches. Circa 1920 he has overall wear and balding to his black mohair, woodwool filled and has remains of his rust nose stitching, original glass eyes and linen pads (some repairs), fully jointed. A strong handsome ted.

Handsome Mr. Grunter is a rare brown Chad Valley bear dating to the 1920's. 13 inches tall he has balding areas - the remaining fur has no fading and is a lovely scrummy chocolate colour. Original nose stitching, some claws remain, replaced pads and button eyes, one ear has been split in two so at some point he must have lost an ear? this has been very well done. He is very proud to have kept his Chad Valley Grunter label and wears it with pride - for some reason this was removed from his voice box...poor Mr. Grunter. Rare bear and very cute!

EVA'S BEAR - STEIFF WITH PROVENANCE
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous - an absolutely adorable 1920's, rare 8.25 inches tall and lovely brown mohair Steiff - no button. Some thinning of fur and darns to pads and nose but a strong little bear. He was owned by a German girl called Eva Maria Boll, born in November 1924. She met an English soldier who later became her husband in Hamburg just after World War II whilst he was serving with the British Army at the Nuremberg Trial. The bear stayed with her during the war and travelled to England with the few belongings she had left. Eva passed away in Cheshire in 1993 and the bear will go to his new home with a photo showing Eva aged just two and a half. Very beautiful and charming provenance. We have dressed him in a lovely two piece woollen outfit and he is wearing an antique pinback saying "Sneeze, your brain is dusty"!!!

This is an absolute treasure -I have never seen one in this size before - he is a 1930's 20 INCH Merrythought Bingie with label and button. In gorgeous condition with just a little fur missing on the back of his head and a small mark on his left paw pad. All original features. Wearing a fantastic sailor outfit that looks as if it was made especially for him. A very rare bear in this size with I.D.

He's a funny looking bear you might be thinking especially being on a Vintage Bears page - but he is such a character and quite unique we thought he deserved a high profile! This is just adorable and quite rare. I am told that it is circa 1940 and is a purse. Approx. 8 inches in height, made from felt. Beautiful face with golden plaited locks of hair and a straw hat. Label inside reads "MADE IN ITALY FOR MARSHALL FIELD & COMPANY" -has some overall wear and there is staining on the base but is a unique piece.

These three unusual friends enjoy nothing more than spending a day by the seaside taking in some fresh air. They were made by a Company called G H French Toys and are made of brown wool plush and have brown and black glass eyes, leather noses and pads. They are unjointed and stand 10" and 8" respectively. I am not sure how old they are. G H French also produced other animals and particularly owls which you often used to see (and probably still do) in Solicitors/Lawyers offices.
