PEARL

This is poorly Pearl.  She dates from as early as the 1910's - is 13", has  shoe button eyes, wood wool filled.  Her arms and legs are wire jointed and she has rexine pads so she is an all orginal gal!  Pearl's medical condition is not serious - it is just that she has lost all her fur.  She is pictured here for a day at the seaside with Nurse Hattie (who will be staying here with me to look after more poorly bear patients until they are well enough to be rehomed - in addition due to shortage of beds - this bed will not be coming with Pearl).   I have dressed her in a lovely nightgown so she is not so self conscious about her condition now and is just looking for a  oving home to spend the rest of her days.

RUBY - 40'S FECHTER BEAR

Poor Ruby - she has been placed in this section simply because she has poorly paw and foot pads.  One of her paw pads has a very large hole and woodwool is exposed, the other paw pad has holes and at some point someone has tried to stitch these.  On her foot pads one hole has been darned over and the other has a hole which needs repair.  She also has wear to her mouth (too much talking over the years!) but I feel this is part of her character and do not feel this is in need of any attention.  She is 13" in height, fully jointed and has long caramel mohair.  Original glass eyes, black stitched nose and downturned paws with teardrop shaped paw pads.  Non working growler.  A very strong and extremely sweet little girl.
