SABRINA - LOVELY BROWN TIPPED BEAR An adorable early 12" little bear c. 1930 with lovely long soft fluffy tipping. Replaced pads (looks like they have been made from some old knitwear) so in keeping with her pads we have added a lovely knitted dress and jacket. She has very appealing large glass eyes and the sweetest little nose and mouth.

LITTLE BOO - RARE 1934 MERRYTHOUGHT GOLLY PICKANIN This is so cute and I believe quite rare - I have never seen one before. She is the smallest size made at just 10 inches and still wears her original felt dress and red ribbon in her hair (there is wear to the dress), made in black velvet, original eyes with red painted nose and mouth. She still retains the early Merrythought label which dates her to 1934 when these cuties were first produced. Fabulous little doll.

C.1907 RARE CRYING RUBBER TEDDY BEAR This is a very good find - I have never seen one before and is a must if you collect rare teddy bear memorabelia. Made by the Montgomery Ward Co Saint Paul this little rubber bear is just 5 inches tall. If you squeezed his tummy he would squeak and this was the first rubber teddy bear of its kind to appear - you can still squeeze him but he no longer squeaks. This bear features in A Collector's History of the Teddy Bear by Patricia N. Schoonmaker.

Buddie is so popular with the bears here - he has millions of friends and now it is time for him to have a home of his own. Circa 1920's he is 17" in height and of American origin. Originally he would have been covered in the most wonderful bright yellow mohair but as you can see over the years he has mislaid quite a bit of covering - probably on many an adventure. He has the most amazing colour stickpin eyes which are original but have both cracked and are missing a little piece on each. Replacement felt pads and paws and nose and mouth stitching, some original claw stitching. A very strong old boy with no holes, splits or tears.

Introducing Little Mo, an early American bear. He is just 8.5 tall (.5 inch makes all the difference he says). Pin jointed legs, padless paws and feet, non jointed head and his arms are permanently oustretched ready for a hug but strangely I can feel no filling in them so he's a rather clever boy to keep them in that position without assistance. Glass eyes and one of those lovely exagerated upturned noses. Nice black mohair retention with just a little thinning on the back of his head and the back of his right arm and the tip of his right paw . Wearing a vintage ribbon and little Red Cross pinback both of which I am told are original to him. Lovely little bear.
